Studio's can come in all different sizes. From millions of rands worth of equipment to a simple audio interface and pc. None the less, when putting together your studio, take in to account every little detail. From the cables and connectors to the hardware and the software. Think of your studio as one single instrument. Every aspect of that instrument affects how it plays and what results you get out of it. If you buy a R20 000 sound card, and wire it up with your old cable and rusted up connectors, you're going to get the same quality you would if you had spent R200 on an audio interface. Its worth spending the money on the little bits and pieces that make your studio work, and work well.
